League of Legends’ newest support champion Renata Glasc receives hotfix nerfs on patch 12.4.
After months of speculations, on patch 12.4, Riot Games officially released League of Legends 159th champion Renata Glasc. The Chem-Baroness has a unique kit where her ultimate, Hostile Takeover, causes her enemies to go Berserk attacking their own allies, then neutral units, then Renata Glasc’s team.
While her ultimate alone feel “broken,” she also has the “controversial” resurrection on her W – Bailout ability. And because of her strong kit, since PBE, many players said that Renata Glasc would be one of the “strongest” support champions in the game when she goes live.
It turns out she is one of the most overpowered support champions at this moment. Currently, she has a 51% win rate in Plat+ elo, which only increases in the higher ranks and a massive 42.2% ban rate.
Though Renata Glasc is only out for a week, League of Legends Game Designer Blake Smith has now confirmed that they are already pushing micropatch nerfs for Renata Glasc on patch 12.4.
Renata Glasc Hotfix Nerfs
- Base Stats:
- Armor/lvl down from 4 >>> 3.5
- Passive:
- Reduced damage from 1-5% on both hits to 1-3%, stopping scaling at level 11
- W:
- Increased cooldown from 28-20 to 28-24
- Reduced duration of burndown from 3s to 2.5s
- Reduced health on revive from 35% to 20%
Riot believes Renata Glasc’s uptime on her W is too high, and it can reach half of the cooldown in the late game, for which they are nerfing it. Moreover, the revived champions will now be much easier to kill.
Renata Glasc hotfix nerfs should go live very soon.
