There’s always a person on whom one can bet blindfolded, and they’ll still deliver. Seth Rollins is that guy for WWE. He’s undoubtedly going through his prime years in the company. It’s something he’s achieved through sheer perseverance in the past 4-5 years. Rollins captured the World Heavyweight Title last month and became an extremely beloved superstar among the fans. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently spoke on how The Visionary stayed relevant in the company.
Speaking on his “Reality of Wrestling” podcast, Booker scrutinized Rollins’ report card. He proclaimed how Seth kept evolving himself as a character despite staying out of the main-event picture. He said that it’s not always the wins that drive a superstar into extreme stardom; sometimes it’s all about who’s the workhorse. The WWE veteran believes that the Visionary has exhibited the same traits due to his incredible track record of sustaining the fewest injuries.
One have to dig back to 2015 to point out an incident where Rollins got severely injured. However, since then, The Architect might’ve hurt himself at times, but he never got injured. Fans do notice these things, and that’s how they determine who’s the MVP in such a highly competitive domain. Thankfully, WWE didn’t let Rollins’ heart go out of place, and they crowned him their World Heavyweight Champion.
“Sometimes you win by attrition, by not getting hurt and that’s Seth Rollins. He’s been that guy who has been able to go out there and weather the storm, probably getting hurt all the time, but not getting injured and still being able to go out there and perform and taking the roles that he has and making the best out of those roles,” Booker T said.
Seth Rollins returned to WWE NXT this week
This week on NXT, Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker. In an unprecedented title bout, The Architect edged out his opponent just barely. Talking about their match, it was a fantastic back-and-forth showdown between the two. Bron showed why he’s widely regarded as a powerhouse, and Rollins kept his composure till the very end to get the job done.
However, Rollins was in for a long night. The day before on Raw, the World Heavyweight Champion got brutally assaulted by Finn Balor. To replicate the same, the Prince arrived on NXT and attacked Rollins from behind. However, the Irishman couldn’t inflict similar sabotage on Raw this time around.
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams stopped the unholy intentions of Balor as the show went off-air. Rollins and Balor will collide at Money in the Bank for the World Heavyweight Title. Fans are on the edge of their seats to witness the epic bout.
